Product Overview

The governor is one of the most important safety devices in an elevator system. It works in conjunction with the safety gear to form a mechanical safety system. When the elevator descending speed exceeds 115% of the rated speed, the governor automatically activates and triggers the safety gear, which emergency stops the car on the guide rails to prevent a fall accident.

· High-Sensitivity Centrifugal Mechanism: Features precision centrifugal weights or a pendulum-type triggering mechanism for rapid response, with action speed tolerance controlled within ±3%.

· Bidirectional Overspeed Protection: Some models support bidirectional protection (upward overspeed protection), complying with the latest national standards.

· Self-Resetting Design: Can be reset manually or electrically after activation, facilitating maintenance and restoration of operation.

· Sealed & Durable Construction: Housing made of cast aluminum or stamped steel plate with anti-corrosion treatment. Sealed bearings prevent dust ingress, suitable for machine room or hoistway environments.

· Integrated Electrical Switch: Built-in overspeed switch cuts off the traction machine control circuit upon activation, providing both electrical and mechanical protection.

Installation & Service

During installation, ensure proper wire rope tension and smooth sheave rotation. A tripping speed calibration report is provided. Custom speed settings are supported. It is recommended to perform an action test and cleaning every two years.
